R&D
Our R&D process follows an iterative engineering discipline that questions every detail of a product — from material selection to door mechanisms, from cable management to thermal performance.
CAD-Based Design
New product families are modeled and validated digitally before moving into production.
Thermal & Structural Validation
Load capacity and airflow performance are carefully assessed before series production begins.
Continuous Improvement
Field feedback feeds directly into product revisions through a living R&D loop.
The Digital Model Becomes Physical Accuracy
Every new design is verified through CAD modeling and simulation before it ever reaches production.
A new product family at VATPAN never starts as a sketch on a desk — it starts with a concrete need from the field: a cabinet a data center operator has to fit into a narrow corridor, an enclosure that has to survive outdoor conditions on an industrial site, or a cable-routing detail an integrator wants to stop losing hours to. Our engineering team first translates that need into measurable design criteria: U-height and width tolerances, static and dynamic load targets, airflow rates, door-opening angles, cable-entry density.
Against those criteria, the product takes shape entirely in the digital domain before a single sheet of steel is cut. CAD modeling optimizes sheet thickness, bend points and weld seams, while structural load behavior and internal airflow are evaluated through simulation ahead of time. This lets us catch problems — and use material as efficiently as possible — long before anything reaches the production floor.
Digital validation is followed by physical prototyping: door hinges are put through repeated open-close cycling, locking mechanisms are tested under real-world use scenarios, and coatings are exposed to humidity and salt-spray conditions. Every product that ships has already survived this gauntlet.
Our R&D loop doesn't stop at launch — feedback from assembly teams, dealers and real-world installations feeds directly back into product revisions. The Virtual Rack Configurator and 3D visualization tools on this site are themselves an extension of that same philosophy: living engineering outputs built on real product data, continuously refined.
